OUR VISION AND MISSION is to honor the legacy of our forebears, who established roots in Caribou to cultivate the land, we draw inspiration from their sacrifices and resilience that paved the way for us. By weaving these ancestral narratives into the fabric of our community, we ignite a renewed passion for local history. Our duty is to safeguard these stories through the preservation of historical records and artifacts, ensuring that the legacy of those who shaped the region through their hard work and courage, particularly Mericos Whittier and the Whittier Family, remains immortalized for generations to come. We are open on Saturdays, however, we encourage visitors to call in advance to ensure there is a museum docent working that day as we limited in volunteers. We also open by appointment, but we encourage visitors to contact the museum a week in advance. If you have any research question or questions you would like us to answer, you may use the contact form provided to you on the right. Want to be a board member, Click Here |
